A Witching Hour Diary Entry

I’ve been playing with the idea of sharing my journey in Wicca for a long while. When I started my witchy/bookish/artistic Instagram, my goal was to eventually share my practices there. I tried a couple of times and while most of my content seemed to do well, anytime I shared my personal card readings, I was hit with a barrage of nasty comments telling me how stupid I was. The experience left a sour taste in my mouth and I defaulted to giving up the idea.

Over time, it occurred to me that perhaps I just needed a different space to share such content. Now that I’ve started this diary, I’m giving it a shot once more. I’m also giving the disclaimer that my magickal practices are slightly different than many others. I prefer to be nude or mostly nude when I practice because I prefer there to be nothing between me, my spirit, the elements, and the energies around me. Thus, the rituals and practices I’ll be sharing in this diary will showcase the photography and art of these practices. I wish to capture the emotion, spiritual elements, and divine experience in a unique way.
